This year admission to the fair is free. Come enjoy the 4-H exhibits and projects, green space entertainment, food and carnival! Admission will still be charged to attend the arena events.
County Fair - July 24 to 29, 2013
Westfair is a celebration of family values, drawing more than 40,000 visitors annually, including county fair and summer concerts. Each summer, families look forward to attending the largest county fair in Southwest Iowa.
Showcasing Youth 4-H
4-H activities are at the heart of Westfair, with more than 350 area youth participating in 4-H programs, exhibits and competitions. The fair provides an annual 4-H showcase with judging in numerous categories including visual arts, food and nutrition, photography, agriculture and natural resources. 4-H activities also include talent shows, livestock shows and a variety of family entertainment events.
Exciting Shows, Automotive Arena Events and Midway Rides
Exciting entertainment is always featured throughout the fairgrounds. There's something for every member of the family or head on down to the midway for exciting rides and games. The Westfair Amphitheater showcases national musical performers and special entertainment during the Fair. In the
past, the Amphitheater has hosted such well-known country performers as Restless Heart, Sara Evans, Gary Allan, LeAnn Rimes, Lady Antebellum, Jamey Johnson and Glorianna. From country music and oldies to rock-n-roll to special attractions including the Queen’s crowning, the Amphitheater has always provided a focal point for the Fair. Also, each evening you can enjoy an exciting line-up of high-octane automotive events presented in the Rod Graalfs Arena. We hope to see you there!
